Background

Eliahu Insurance Company Ltd was founded in 1966 by Shlomo Eliahu, who was a successful underwriter for Israel’s leading insurance companies at the time, after beginning his career in the insurance business as an errand boy at Migdal Insurance Ltd.Since then he has developed a business empire that includes, in addition to full ownership of Eliahu Ltd, holdings in Bank Leumi Le-Israel and Union Bank of Israel, as well as various real estate assets.

On establishment, Eliahu was the first Israeli insurance company to be granted an insurer’s license since the establishment of the State.

1. Underwriting Policy

Eliahu is attentive to all the insurance needs of its customers, in all branches of insurance   Each risk is examined by means of a comprehensive underwriting survey enabling the underwriters to correctly assess the insured’s insurance needs, on the one hand, and enabling the insured to implement a risk management policy that will minimize his exposure to insurance events on the other.

2.Marketing

Eliahu markets its products by means of insurance agents exclusively.The company does not impose exclusivity on its agents, thereby enabling and encouraging the agents to transfer his business to the most appropriate insurer, freely and independently.

3. Claims

Eliahu won first place in the category of agent satisfaction in a satisfaction survey that was conducted at the last annual convention of insurance agents in Israel.
